For the first time, Edna Hibel is collaborating on a book for children of all ages, a story of troubles and triumphs of youngsters William and Gertrude in an idyllic European castle and countryside setting. The colorful Hibel front cover (shown here) portrays the main characters in this setting, and her 20 single-color images throughout the book enhance this exciting tale of "The Black Block Legend." Creation of the book was a family project. The author is Andy Plotkin, Edna Hibel's son, and poetry within the volume is by Theodore Plotkin, Edna's husband. Cheryll Plotkin, daughter- in- law, was involved in editing the book.
Timed now for the year-end holiday release of the book is the release of "Tree of Enchantment," a large Impressionistic-style limited edition serigraph (shown below) bursting with color, portraying another of Edna's views of the book's breathtaking village setting. Edna used 70 colors plus a gold overlay on thick Arches paper to create this glorious 18" x 26" serigraph.
While the release price for this new serigraph is $425, the special promotional price for this restricted advance purchase offer is only $249 (which includes the book, as well as the shipping and handling of both!).
In addition, the first 30 collectors to respond to this advance purchase offer will receive a specially hand-numbered and signed section of the serigraph personally inscribed by Edna to the collector.
