Edna Hibel National Book Signing Tour to Kickoff in Palm Beach County Edna Hibel will appear throughout America at many signing events for two new books about her life and art. The kickoff event for these signings will take place in Palm Beach County, Hibel’s adopted home for 35 years, at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, 701 Okeechobee Boulevard, in West Palm Beach, on Sunday, December 10th From noon until 1 p.m., the public may arrange to have lunch with the renowned artist to celebrate her 90th birthday. The historic lunch will be presided over by the Honorable Lois Frankel, Mayor of West Palm Beach, who will present a City-wide proclamation and tribute to mark the special occasion. Reservation for this limited-seating lunch may be obtained by calling (561) 848-9633. The cost is $49. per person. Parking is free. After the lunch, from 1 to 4 p.m., the artist will greet visitors and sign the two new books. In addition, visitors will be able to view an exhibition of Hibel’s award-winning paintings and stone lithographs. Parking and admission to the book signing are free. Edna Hibel was born in Boston and received two degrees from the Boston Museum School of Fine Arts. After Robert Rauschenberg, Edna Hibel is the only American to receive the coveted Leonardo da Vinci World Award of Arts, and the only living American woman to have a non-profit public museum dedicated to her art. She is also one of only a very few people over the past 500 years to have created art in nine different decades.
